How many hours am I expected to spend with volunteering work?
We are completely flexible on our volunteer's working hours as we believe that the act of service must come from heart, not with compulsion. We are fine with any number of working hours with the minimum being 1 hour per week. We support all our regular volunteers.
What am I supposed to do as a volunteer?
As a volunteer you are free to choose any one of our projects which you feel you are comfortable with. You can either choose to work alone or to work in a group. If you choose to work in a group then you will have two options, either form your own group or working in one of our groups. After you choose a project you need to start implementing that project in your area/locality. 'Lakshya' willl help you and support you always in any way possible again within our limits. But the responsibility of carrying out the work regularly depends on the volunteer and the success/failure depends on his/her individual initiative in his/her community. Through this system we want to make all our volunteers capable leaders who will be leading a socially benificial project. Volunteers are also welcome to share their creative ideas/projects, if they have any with us and if executable we will implement those projects as well.
Is my work as a volunteer recognised?
We believe in the philosophy that every good work must be recognised in some form. Accordingly, all the active volunteers of the organisation will receive a certificate of appreciation from 'Lakshya'. The only condition for this is that the volunteers must work with us for a minimum period of one year and they must spend atleast 2 hours per week in some activities of their choice. Any volunteer who satisfies this condition will receive the recognition certificate whose content will depend on his/her performance. We are also offering short term internships to selected under graduate students.To know more about internship program,please leave us a message through mail and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

I am staying outside Bangalore and can I work with you?
We welcome you wholeheartedly. As mentioned earlier our work is completely based on a individual initiative. You need not stay in Bangalore to work with us. You can start the work anywhere on the globe and we will be there to support you in any way possible. We always encourage you to spread the light of change in your area and to 'start something new'.We have already started a project at Tumkur,a district in Karnataka.We have a seperate team over there working on this project.

I am a professional. Can I join you?
Any body can join us and we always encourage people to join us. Even though we are a group of students, we will be very happy if a professional can be our team mate; as we all can avail his/her expert guidance at our work. There is no maximum or minimum age group for our volunteers. Any body who is willing to do something can join us anytime and work with us.
